Harwich Redoubt Harwich, Tendring, ESSEX
 The monument includes a fortified gun tower, or redoubt, situated on a slight hill on the eastern side of the Harwich peninsula. Built between 1807-1809 to protect the harbour from an attack by Napoleon's forces.The tower is circular in plan, 61m diameter and encircled by a dry moat. It is the only such example of a more heavily armed redoubt that is now open to the public with part of the fort used as a military museum.
